Selected by a curatorial committee of noted educators, authors, and practitioners who sought out projects and practices that displayed a level of invention or a degree of risk-taking--ones that stood out as pushing boundaries in program, design and tectonic explorations, or that offer an alternative approach to the practice of architecture. In forging a different path than many of their predecessors, this generation of designers is exploring the potential for architecture to transform society.
By presenting the cumulative products of a new generation of designers, Twenty + Change seeks to expose Canada’s rich community of young designers who are endeavouring to move the discourse of their practice forward, and setting a new agenda for innovation in architecture, landscape, and urban design.
